Established in 2005 ,Eastern Medical College is a private medical educational institution situated in Comilla district of Bangladesh. Previously It was a constituent medical college under the University of Chittagong, currently the college is a constituent college of Chittagong Medical University.
The Eastern Medical College & Hospital is recognized by Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council and is approved by World Health Education (WHO) and NMC (National Medical Commission). It offers a five-year course of study leading to a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree and the medium of Instruction is English. After completion of course, a one-year internship is compulsory for all graduates.The college has an attached hospital with 600 beds. Bedside teaching and clinical examinations of students take place at the hospital wing.
